Globetrotters

Would you believe that Victoria and I actually went to PARIS in order to take pictures for a "Daily Muffy?" It's true! C'est vrai!

This first in a new season of "Daily Muffy" episodes will begin on May 12th, in a brand new format and location. Stay tuned for all the details!

It a nice place to live - is it a nice place to visit? Only time will tell in The Daily Muffy!

I love that sign. "A nice place to live." Like, not a GREAT place, but just...nice.

It has a very pretty downtown and a big scary section of the Grand River.

I'm flattered, Bill! And you'll have to say hi next time you're at an event that I'm part of.

But I don't have much room in my life for the rest of the world, which is why I only seek it out when I'm in the mood. Otherwise I don't do much emailing or calling.

Thank you for the kind words, and I hope the blog keeps you interested! Jeez, I'll try to write some more too.

Wow! That's some declaration, and I have to say, I admire the boldness of it. And, it acknowledges the fears an honest admirer might install in a blogger. Nice.

Bill, out of curiousity: how do you know that Muffy's not mine? Or someone else's significant other?

Don't sweat it, Bill. I've known Muffy for years, and I have to schedule our lunch appointments 6 months in advance.

bill, incredibly sexy ain't she?

But muffy you need to put your email id in your profile or something so that the poor chap wouldn't have had to use a public forum to declare his love.

I have to keep my myriad admirers in check SOMEHOW, JJ. And keep my inbox small! Not to mention that, like I said, I don't invite emails because I don't usually have the desire to reply to them.

Dinner on November 18, 2012, Vanilla?

Muffy, I hate using this word, but this photo is just the cutest damned thing. And no, I am not stalking you either.

Another non-stalker here. Pay no attention to the black van with the suspiciously tinted windows...

(Sorry--I've been watching Jekyll lately, and I'm a little obsessed...with the show! The show! :) )

Hi Muffy,
Not sure if you have a clue who I am (you prob'ly do, but it doesn't really matter); I just wanted to comment about 'La Cage' and tell you that I, personally, thought that you were royally snubbed by Miss Drew in her thanks at the end of the evening! I thought you did a fantastic job, and, as always, you looked marvellous!
A friend,
Jennifer

Adam Thornton said...

Thanks, non-stalkers! I'm totally happy to embrace the word "cute," Kim, because it's much better than "grotesque" or "hideous." Cute it is!

Jeckyll and Hyde...goodness, I can relate, Vicar.

Jennifer, thanks for the kudos, I think we did a pretty fine job as well (taking into account the equipment limitations)!

A "snub" is a subjective thing so it can't be banished by a single person, but since I would be the supposed "snubbee" in this situation, I think my opinion is the MOST important one...

...and I don't think I was snubbed at all. The thought hadn't even entered my mind.

Alan and I were treated wonderfully before, during, and after the event. I do not expect to be publicly thanked for helping out and I'm sure there were other names that weren't announced as well...it's the price of not having a credit roll at the end, I guess. :)

So not to worry, everything was great, and my ONLY regret was not checking to make sure that the "Beautiful" download was uncorrupted.

What do you mean you aren't going to get totally bend out of shape about something Miss Drew did or didn't do?! Are you going to let yourself be disrespected that way? There's a lot on the line, you know. Like, 'honour' and all that.

Muffy, you have to be more fun than that. That's the drama of drag! C'on, fight! Fight! Fight!

Adam Thornton said...

I just take out all my latent drag hostilities on you, Vanilla. :)

Well - hey, I took my shot. It seemed like the least threatening way to make an approach and, as I said, I'm not a stalker or anything.

Do me one small favour though and either remove the message from the comments or XXXX-out the email address. Some of your other admirers have apparently taken to dropping me messages.

Thanks,
Bill.

Adam Thornton said...

Hey, admirers, don't harass Bill!

I've had to delete the comment to remove the email address, Bill, as I'm unfortunately unable to edit comments (to make them more complimentary than they already are, fr'instance).

Thanks Muffy,

Just to satisfy the curious who now cannot read my original post - in it I informed Muffy that I had been a faithful reader of her blog for several months and had developed an infatuation (perhaps more) with her sublime beauty and wit. I provided my email address and invited her to contact me to explore this further.

As you CAN read here, she gently rebuffed me. I subsequently asked her to remove the post I made because I was receiving unwanted emails as a result of its presence and, like a true lady, Muffy granted me this favour.

And that's pretty much the whole thing.

Thanks again Muffy - If I ever find myself in your actual presence I will try to screw my courage to the sticking place and identify myself to you.

By all means, say hi if we're ever in the same room or stretch of parkland! I'm certainly not hiding out in town and I'm always up for a chat (especially if I'm liquored up).
